Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Steering Efforts To Enhance Food Security

As the Director of Vision Packers I am more than glad to state that it is only prudent that we all embrace efforts and skills directed towards raising a healthy nation. However this can never be achieved without discovering the ways and means by which we can feed the nation. It is on this premise that when I was overwhelmed with this idea of starting this project, I couldn't resist it and I bowed to the pressure to do so from 2008. There is blessing as well as beauty that we overcame all odds and rolled it out. I was pulled more with the motherly desire and interest in the lives of people in as far as my contribution to the welfare is concerned, as opposed to personal gain and time has justified my plan. Even as we grossly fall short of any sponsorship we have ensured the processing of high quality PEANUT and SIMSIM BUTTER for a cross -section of the country especially in Kakamega County, empowerment of people with skills, creation of employment opportunities, poverty eradication, improvement of the living standards of the community, promotion of local raw materials usually under utilized thereby economically empowering farmers by buying their groundnuts and simsim as just part of how we truely have been smart. We are the one enterprise that no one will ever find reason to regret sponsoring. Attached NO. 22 OPTIONAL is a pictorial to that effect.
