Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

I Had Lost Hope But Now I Have It

I am Winnie Shilwatsa, a girl who has suffered neglect and therefore as a result forced to stay away from home. I was subjected to a harsh set set of treatment owing to my fathers habit of drinking and us with my mother suffering a lot due to lack of food clothing and even our house was leaking it would rain a lot on us . I ended up running away from home as did my brother and sister. We were staying at our relatives place until i was the luckiest of them all to be approached by a staff from tumaini miles of smiles who expressed a desire for me to join the CCI. When i was taken to the institution(this year2011) i was handled like a child in their home getting supported with basic needs and education. I have found room to advance in life and to realize my dream of becoming a successful person in life.
