Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Kazi Kwa Vijana

In 2010 implemented the kazi kwa vijana programe which was aimed to provide employment to youths all over Kenya It was very true that unemployment was very iminent in this country and I remember in my community things were even worse. Sixty percent of youth were unemployed and were causing trouble in the community and even involved in some indecent acts that caused shame in the entire community. With the number of youths too large, a problem arose where everyone I youth had to get an opportunity to be employed or rather wanted to be employed. As a result, corruption became the order of the day and those without money and withput influential relatives had to be left out. The issue of tribalism and nepotism also arose and though the programme was aimed to helping the youths, it was a fail in achieving its objectives due to corruption, tribalism, nepotism and employment of old man instead of youths. This was an idea with great solution but wrongly implemented and executed.
