Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Gender Equality

The Kenyan constitution was just changed last year through a referendum that saw the new constitution being voted for by 67 % of the Kenyan voters who voted during the referendum whoever the question remains could the change of the constitution reflect the change on the ground. this was reflected when the judicial service commission nominated five judges to the supreme court and the list included four men and one woman while the constitution advocate for a 50/50 representation and gender equality to all.The FIDA society tried it best to try and stop the appointments of these nominees so that changes could be made but their efforts went sour when the president gazetted the names of the nominees in the Kenya gazette So i thing i think of is that could the efforts of changing this society into or fighting for gender equality been fruitful or the issue of gender equality is not yet an issue in our communities because when we thought the constitution would help change this, things still go the African was "women are minority"
