Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Damping Sites

When we visited Pumwani area we were really dramatised of what we saw. There is a damping site just were the people live. When we arrived there were four lads just at the damp site, bare footed and were picking and sorting the litter and playing with it. There were also some dogs and cattles, who were also feeding at the litter. This really dramatised us,because the kids were exposed to the hazard and this could endanger their lives. We tried to talk to the parents the danger they were exposing their children into but because of their ignorance they said that the kids are being used to that environment. After coming back to the office,we wrote a latter to the city council, were we had to ask them to fence the damping site in a way to regulate entry of people moreso the kips and some animals like cattle, since they were endangering their lives.
