My first day to Mahiakalo primary school. It was the 1976 in january when my late father joseph sakasa mwach took me to register as a pupil at the above named primary school to be enrolled after 1 hour interview of verbal questions by the class teacher whom i cant recall well. I was admitted in standard 1 A we had 3 streams but my father hurriedly handed me to my class teacher and dashed to his job in town. but i could not allow him go so i had to run behind the co-operative car that my daddy used to take him at work and back home. but my teacher called Mrs somebody Esther rescued me by running after me and got hold of me and made me join my new friends who look very strange to me. i managed to control my temperature and got a friend called victor shivaji who gave me some sweets and i gave him some 2 pcs of bananas and we made great friends till we completed school. vincent mwachi
