Realizing,identifying And Using Potential To The Fullest

Mathare Youth Group,(MAHTGRO) as they call it is full of young energetic boys and girls who have come up together and started this small community based organisation. They have been able to reach out to the community and sensitize them on HIV/AIDS,proper use of condoms,importance of proper nutrition among others.The good thing about this group is that they way they use comical skills by acting to schools and community members as a way to mobilise them to came to their events making things so easy for them when they want to pass out any information. To sustain the group and themselves they have an income generating activity where they do different thing like urban agriculture,this is where they plant sukuma wiki,spinach,onions and tomatoes in sacks after they have grown they sell it to the community. They offer community cleaning services, they wash community toilets,They do poultry agriculture.This among other ways on how this youth have employed themselves other than staying idle at home.
