International Financial Reporting Standard (ifrs) For Small And Medium Sized Enterprises (smes)

In July 2009 the International Accounting standards Board issued an international financial Reporting standard for SME's. This standards provided an alternative framework tha can be applied by eligible entities in place of the full set of International Reporting standards.The cost model is permitted for investments in associated and joint ventures and Hedge accounting and recognizing requirement. There are also areas not covered by the IFRS are earning per share Interim financial reporting, segment reporting, Assets held for sale Hyperinflation, lessor accounting for finances leases & Agriculture finally areas eliminated included the reevaluation model for property, plant and equipment and intangible assets and proportionate solidification for investments in jointly controlled entities.
