Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Housing Problem

Shelter is one of the basic human wants.A house is considered to be a shelter for humns. However much important it is,some people live in sharks while others dont have houses at all.for example in Kibera slums of Nairobi, there is an accute shortage of housing facilities.Due to the high population in the slum area, the housing problem has highly risen. Most people live in very small shanties that are not well established and risk destruction when there is much rainfall. There is a programme initiated by the kenya government in collaboration with the European Union to help upgrade the slums. This involve building of permanent houses and installing power and proper sewage systems .Though the programme is a success, there are still several people living in shanties that need to be upgraded.
