A Forum That Adressed Climate Change

Climate change is an emerging issue globally. This affects everyone and yet the solution to their scourge are local. There has been a shift in routine weather patterns, an acute rise in the global temperatures and all this is as a result of human activity.Men are impacting climate change by industrialisation, fossil fuels emission and other activities. In an effort to adress this, The world Bank Inotitute held a conference in Nairobi in February 22-27th with elected youths from all over the country. The aims and objectives of this forum was to find ways in which the youth can be involved in the climate change mitigation and adaptation process.Alot was learnt from mrs.Habiba Gitory, who is a senior Environmental specialist in climate change practice. The process was a success as the youth who attended were equiped with sufficient knowledge, expertise and materials to adress this scourge in their local communities and then give feed back to the community members in Koibarak commuity on better practices of reducing the effects of climate change and they have adapted these simple procedures.
