Medical Services

Medication is one of the fundamental rights of Kenyan citizen.Almost 1 million people live in dreadjue poverty hence making it difficult for them to access proper medical services. In Kibera there is a real shortages of medical facilities and has endangered the lives of people living within the slum. Some clinics have been set up and are doing a great job. Many churches also provide medical services and counseling for the residents. The challenge is that the population is too high and there is till need for more people/ organization to come in and provided medical services. The main disease are malaria, cholera, Hiv/Aids and other STIs.rape is also a major challenge due to the fact that victims are supposed to be cared for in privacy so as not to make the public aware of the happenings.
