Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Water Shortage

Water is one of the most important things in a human being's life.Though there are attempts to ensure that most people get water, the whole idea has not been fully realised. Until recently,Korogocho had no water and it had to be collected from the Nairobi dam.The dam water is not clean and causes typhoid and cholera. Now there are two main water pipes into Korogocho. One from the World bank and another from the Nairobi City Council. The residents are currently collecting water at ksh 5per 20 litres which is rated highly compared to other residential areas where people collect water at either ksh 1per 20 litres or ksh 2 per 20 litres. There is still need for more organisations to step in and help solve the situations to ensure that people get water readily at an affordable prices.
