Through this project, YOREC need to promote social and information rights by giving to youth and women free access to the internet research in Nakivale refugee Settlement. Young girls and women are discriminated and don't have access to information because of their culture, religion and poverty.
In Nakivale refugee settlement, refugees does not have the opportunity of making research or reading what others are doing in the world. The affected are Women and young girls, and people with disabilities (albinos) who are marginalized because of their colour, their sex, origine, or culture. The affected population have the rights of being informed, learn and plan for their future which they can prefere to get. With this kind of situation, no one can know his right or innovate in something.
This project will be a innovation in the settlement of Nakivale. Women and young girls will be able to learn computer for a period of month. After learning, the beneficiaries will be able to make research and get opportunity of being and stay connected with other in the world and plan things for their future. The human right will be respected. After a period, the beneficiaries will be able to defend their rights because of having some knowledge on internet using.
After a period of a year, youth and women of my community will be able to make internet research, plan their future and know the important of using new technology as a key of development and contribute to protect climate and the right of everyone in the community and rise out of poverty. After a period of a year, because of a free service, more than 120 women and youth will be train in the using of computer.
