This project will give an opportunity to 200 youths to be Mentored, Equipped, Empowered, and Trained to become leaders in their communities. Training programs for talented Congolese youth that promote leadership and creative problem-solving will equip them to to become dynamic, progressive leaders. The DRC's main problem is leadership. Working with these 14 to 25 years old youths is how to build a new Congo and helps to create a future that is brighter for these youths.
more than 85 % of Congolese is unemployed and 65 % of that is youth. War, lack of education, poverty has pushed them become primary drivers of violent and nonviolent alike.They have lost trust in their government, parents, and hope for the future.
for the past 4 years, Kuvuna Foundation has stood by his mission to Mentor, Equip, Empower and Train youths to become leaders. Through this program, youths are being equipped and are now taking the leadership role to to influence their peers and develop sustainable projects in their community.
By helping these youths believe in themselves, making them play a key role as part of the solution, they are quick to suggest and find solution to their own problems. The Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship have been included to this program in order attract more youths. At the end of each Youth Leadership Camp, 200 youths will help equipped to either create their own jobs, get the right training to find jobs, and be mentored by those who have succeeded before them. 200 youths .
