This project will build youth enterprise learning and production center to train, generate income and support viable youth enterprises in the slum communities of Lira Municipality. The fund will establish Maize mills with packaging and support poultry farming. The poultry farm will utilize the products from maize mill as feeds. The project will be sustainable in the short run and will be used to build youth entrepreneurship in Lira.
Majority of the youth in Lira Municipality have no jobs. Most of them especially those living in slum communities (girls and boys) are hard pressed to meet the basic of lives. Most of them are orphans and are not educated and as such cant afford to get jobs. The project seeks to establish a project that will be used to create jobs, train and raise start up capital for the for at least 500 youth in 2 years. They will be equipped and support to start own enterprises, maintain and thrive.
We shall provide hands on training, mentorship, jobs for youth (marketeers and sales agents) and seed capital for those who shall aspire to start own enterprises.
Jobs will be created for girls and boys. They will be employed by the project Increased income levels for the 500 youth At least 30% of the Youth will build on enterprises GLOFORD's work with communities and youth will be sustained
