Farm preparation

We have begun the year well. Ebumbayi Primary School farm has been harrower and the second digging will follow soon to break the lamps into fine soil in readiness for planting.

We have purchased fertilizer and certified seeds. And the organic manure prepared by pupils.

We are happy to report that pupils had subsidy of maize from last year to continue school feeding program.

Schools visitation:

We have managed to visit a number of schools around following political unrest in our nation. We addressed the issue of peace, harmony and unity among children from different ethnic communities. Among the schools we have visited include Kerongo Secondary School, Ekwanda Secondary School, Mariwa Secondary School, Precious Lamp Academy, Ebumbayi Primary School, and Enametsa Primary School.

This is on-going. Members took loans to the tune of KSH. 4000 – 50000 depending on demand and purpose of the loan. Youths have initiated businesses while others have boosted their on-going businesses.

One training has been done on crafts (bead bags making) we expect to launch the other soon.

Marry go-round:

This activity binds members and instills the sense of care within members. Members at a sitting collect amount of money agreed upon and given to one member. This gives financial boost and support to members of the group.
