Ebeneza Group is seeking $ 35,000 to establishment Early Children Development Centre in Shinyanga Tanzania. These funds will be used to draw maps, to build 2 classrooms, offices, a kitchen and electricity installation. The project will improvement of comprehensive early childhood care and education, especially for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children, unfortunately, orphans and vulnerable children in Shinyanga region in particular are still at a disadvantage.
Shinyanga being the poorest region in Tanzania is among the top five regions with highest HIV incidence above the National average (URT, UNGASS 2011) thus HIV/AIDS associated deaths in the region, results into many children being left as orphans with minimal socio economical support. We therefore, as part of impact Mitigation, propose an establishment Early Children Development centre to accommodate 100 children to get education.
Children Education is the top global Agenda. While education has remained one of the important social determinants of Health, Orphans and Vulnerable children are often disadvantaged (UNICEF, 2012). In the context of World Bank and (UNESCOs) education for all (EFA) initiative, which capitalize on Expansion, and improvement of comprehensive early childhood care and education, the project will support 100 children to get education.
The long Term impact of the project will be enabling 100 OVC to get primary, secondary education and higher education and break the chain of poverty,in their families through education.
