The funding grant will be used to pay trainers and buy materials to use, rent the house and installing the training center. The purpose for the professional and craft training center is to provide professional skills to elderly women and their children, finding an employment which provides everyday food to the family.
In Kampala, many refugees, women have assets and skills to do various jobs but are still without jobs. Refugee women face the most difficulties; they accumulate serious problems of survival of their households. The image of the experiences of refugee women is very negative in relation to the living conditions they experience. This negative perception is often perceived by people who have great sympathy for women and their families, but the excuse is that they do not have the means to help them.
We believe this project will solves the problems of refugee's women by encouraging the massive participation of elders refugee's women to finally create self-employments, to promote community health, increase family income and develop their professional skills in Uganda which can help them anywhere they may be tomorrow because they are immigrants and Also it it will help them to stay strong because of the activities they will be doing.by Tooling old refugee women a professional competences.
More than 90% of the people or elderly women evaluated want to be trained in model sewing and crafts; where after the training, each decided to be seamstress to generate income to support her family and guarantee his survival. The training will be materialized under a conscientious and professionalizing approach. The androgyny method will be used to get the beneficiaries to acquire real skills.This will lead to long-term transformations and profound changes in life of women's refugees in Uganda.
