WOMEN AND CHILDREN PROTECTION SEMINAR For the development children who have no protection, backward class women and to bring changes in their lives organizations Global Giving and Chevalier Roche Society jointly work to remove their ignorance and to lift up their life standard have conducted many Awareness programmes. At the same time being considered about the protection of children and for their development and to increase their knowledge in education an Awareness seminar was convened at a primary school in kamaraj nagar area of Thoothukodi. In that programme Headmaster, class Teachers, Mrs.Mary co-ordinator, Chevalier Roche Society and Mrs.Suyambukani co-ordinator Chevalier Roche Society participated. Points delivered by the speakers of meeting were perceived in the minds of the children participated in the Awareness Training programme. At first Responsible Teacher of the school welcomed everybody in the Awareness programme and began the meeting. He talked about bond slavery method of children, Children labour methods, quality of children Education etc. Also he explained about the kidnapping of children, involvement in hardships and terrible acts, dreadful violence. These fears threatening must be removed from the community. In order to protect children in our nation we must perform some action oriented projects. Therefore majority of women and children move towards cities from their village to seek job opportunities for them and they meet many disadvantages. In order to avoid these difficulties we must create Awareness among the fishermen in coastal areas. In this manner we created awareness among the fishermen community in coastal areas of Thoothukudi area. CO-ORDINATOR REVEALED - Kidnapping of women and children are abominable incidents. Also children are kidnapped as bond slaves to do some hand works, for entertainments, sports, begging etc. In order to avoid these mischief’s we must plan and talk actions. We must stop the female Babes murders. Also we must arrange education for women equal to men. Being removed the ignorance of women and children we must create awareness among them. During the incident of kidnapping basic rights are transgressed and numerous children become victims for the most vulnerable diseases such as AIDS etc. We must avoid the children being sent for employment during their school going age. Students of today will be the leaders in the future. Development and growth of children is an important process. All of their basic rights must be availed to them. In this - coordinator Mrs.Mary spoke among the children and created the Awareness for them. ASST CO-ORDINATOR REVEALED - Without any partiality of caste, religion, gender, language, property, colour, birth and physical condition all of them who are below the age 18 are in the category of children. All necessary fundamental rights shall be available for them. Life standard of such children must be good and developing ones. Rights of children such as living right protection rights, growth rights participation right and all other necessary rights must be awarded for them. Also they must know the importance of education and it is an indestructible wealth for children. Protection of children is not only the duty of the Government but also it is on important responsibility of the society. Also up on the basis of social culture arrogances must be left away from them. In this co - ordinater Mrs.Suyambukani spoke about the Awareness of women and children Finally the class teacher explained about the condition of children, child labor method, and children being sent for laboring and carrying money. We must develop the educational standard for our children. Those children having no parents and who are orphans, their life standard must be developed. Finally he delivered the vote of thanks. In this manner the Awareness programme for the participants accomplished well in a nice manner.

FORMATION OF WATCH DOG COMMITTEE

Our organizations Chevalier Roche Society donated through Global Giving are jointly performing the projects of children and women protection for their welfare. As the first phase of this Project Watch Dog Committees in the names of District Level Children protection supervision committee, Block level children protection committee, panchayat village level supervision committee were formed. By these Committees State Level Co - ordination committee was formed to prohibit the kidnaping of children and women for sexual activities. In all the districts of Tamilnadu State District counseling committees were farmed. With the presidentship village panchayat president in every village, village supervision committees were formed and they began their works.

AWARENESS SEMINAR ON WOMEN AND CHILDREN PROTECTION PROJECT:

Our organizations Chevalier Roche Society donated through Global Giving are serving to up lift the life style of the affected women, children in backward condition and remove the ignorance and illiteracy of the people, alter the condition of people who are under bond slavery and to alter the condition of women without production of the fishermen community in coastal areas of the Thoothukudi District. By convincing various types of Awareness campaigns and create Awareness. In this manner at Maruthuvanagar and Theresnagar coastal areas of Thoothukudi District Awareness was created among the community and many helps where offered to them. During that Awareness campaign Mrs.Guilda, chairman, Evergreen Women Group leaders and members of Kungumasimil, Kungumappoo, Rojapoo etc. Also Mrs.Anitha president, of presence Social Trust, Mrs.Mary and Mrs.Suyambukani Trainers Chevalier Roche Society also participated in the programme.

When chairman, Evergreen woman group spoke, she mentioned ‘’Women kidnapping is an arrogance being done to the women community. Also the sexual harassment to women, violence against women, women involvement in sex work because of their poverty, illiteracy or having no enough education are the main causes for these illegal activities. We must relieve the women community from this situation. For this we must create Awareness among the people’’. When presence social trust chairman Mrs. Anitha talked she mentioned, We must serve for the high level protection of women and violence’s being performed against women must be left. They must acquire good dignity in the society. Also women must group in education equal to men and poverty must be removed from the community. They must develop further in the community. As the women in society must develop themselves to earn by their Self Help Entrepreneurship Development programmers .

As they depend up on others in the community they are easily became victims of the kidnapping related to the sexual harassments. In this regard all basic human rights are transgressed. In order to change this bad situation we must work hard. In addition to this we must change the situation of illiterate woman and their unprotected condition and their backward condition

In this manner she created they awareness among the women participated in the programme. When Mrs.Suyambukani Coordinator, Global Giving Aidded project from Chevalier Roche Society spoke she mentioned Violence’s is being performed against women must be stopped. Bond slavery also must be completely eradicated from the society. The condition of urban women and children must be changed. For this purpose organizations Global Giving and Chevalier Roche Society are jointly offering Awareness programmes to the people and select the qualified women and provide them Self Entrepreneurship Training programmes to bring reformation among the people especially among woman. In order to stop children kidnapping, sexual harassments, child labour, childhood marriage, children who don’t go to school a village supervision committee has been formed. These two organizations provide children Health Development, production from infections and Medical Health are provided to women and children. Laws regarding children production were also explained by her. For the children who have no production evening classes are conducted at their convenient times. To women who are in backslidden condition various types of training programmes are offered. By these Training programmes many good changes and advantages are occurred among the women community in the coastal areas. This was also explained to them in detail.

Finally Mrs.Mary Coordinator chevalier Roche Society spoke about the violence’s being met by Women and children. Illegal activities, Women and Children production were also explained in detail. In order to up left the life standard of the poor fishermen community in the coastal areas, to remove their ignorance and to develop their education standard 12 women group was formed and they provide women at their local areas to begin their Self entrepreneurship on their own, various types of Training & Awareness programmes are offered for this down trodden community. This campaign was successfully accomplished.
