In the greater Los Cabos, Mexico area there are no rehabs for woman. Currently we have a center for men called the Place of Change. We have a steady success rate in transforming the lives of these men getting them off of the streets into a safe and supervised environment. We get them day jobs as we help them learn to become a healthy part of the community. We now want to build a woman's center that not only helps them but their children having the ultimate goal of restoring the family.
There are no rehabs for woman in Los Cabos. There are many woman with addictions or that have been in abusive relationships. They are seeking help but the government does not provide any. Many have children but no where to go for help. They end up on the streets in prostitution or back in their abusive environments. We aim to be the first woman's rehabilitation center in a population of 250,000 that will serve woman and children in desperate need of help.
Our vision is the same as our men's rehab where we have found success helping these men become healthy active members of society. The first step is to get the woman and their children off of the streets and into a safe and healthy environment. After that we begin to introduce them into our in-house programs that free them from any addictions as well as teach them to live healthy lives in soul, mind, body and spirit. The entire program with shelter, food and child care is provided at no cost.
Our main goal is to restore each woman, child and the family structure if the environment is safe to do so. Our hope is to help these woman live a transformed life feeling a sense of purpose not only for themselves but for the next generation. We are hoping to break generational strongholds by creating new patterns that promote a healthy and productive lifestyle that will be seeing in them and their children's children.
