Hello Friends,

We have some great updates to share about SANTI Child Care Center.

There were two children named Raj (boy) and Sanjukta (girl) roaming around in Rajgangpur Railway Station. One person (want to be Anonymous) saw them in a very distressed state and tried to console them. After he assured everything will be better, he called Police and asked for help. Through Police, Rajgangpur Chairman came to know about the situation and called SANTI for help. Mr Pati from SANTI attended the call and happy to take temporary custody for Raj and Sanjukta. He took them to SANTI Child Care Center for temporary living and counsel them. They were happy to see other children in SANTI and felt like home. Mr. Pati on a face to face interview with Sundargarh District Child Welfare committee members, presented the case. The Committee accepted our application and verdict that SANTI will take care of those two children in future.

Raj and Sanjukta found new home with us in SANTI and they are very happy to be here. Now they are getting used to the daily schedule of SANTI along with education and extra counselling as they need.

Mr. Deba from USA a long time donor to SANTI, recently visited SANTI. It was a very touchy, memorable event for SANTI children as they got to know the supporter and donor. Mr. Deba was also very happy to see the action of the donation, he used to made from USA. He felt the heaviness and importance of taking care of children in SANTI Child Care Center. He donated money to buy new raincoats/jackets and school bags for all SANTI Children. Yes ! Kids wanted those items badly and thanked to Mr. Deba.

I thank you for your donations and I feel that you should consider to visit SANTI at least once when you make a trip to India. It is located in the eastern part of the country near to Rourkela in Odisha State. You will definitely see your money in action and definitely will feel proud of your contribution.

We need furniture that will be used by SANTI children, please come forward to donate at least $25 one time. We will appreciate if you can donate monthly as we need more donors to support 21 children. We need to generate $1700 to reach our goal. Please contribute to make a better day for someone who is now roaming in Railway Station.

Thanks

Hello Friends,

A big week for us, first we came to know that SANTI is a top ranked charity organization per GlobalGiving. Second, we are honored as GlobalgGving India representative Ms. Kavita visited SANTI last week. She spent time with children and observed the day to day activities. She was pretty impressed with our work and the way we have organized and running the organization. She also met with girls who are learning sewing and are currently earning money for their work.

When I spoke to Ms. Kavita over phone, she seems really excited knowing a lot about SANTI and felt her trip to our organization was rewarding. Please see attached photos of her visit.

SANTI is a registered organization which supports children. As per new rule to us, Govt of India determines the needy children and asks SANTI to support. So this is a different and new way to short list children in need. In this new system, we are going to have 4 more children to support very soon, so we are looking forward to it.

As final exams are coming up, children are focused on studying. We wish them all the best for the exam.

After the exam, we will teach children to dance. Few of them already picked up dance steps from TV and have already performed in school functions. We believe this will be an area where children may show their talent.

We are feeling proud to be a Top Ranked organization per globalgiving and are thankful to you for your continuous support.

Thanks

Friends, wish you will have great fun in upcoming holiday time.

This is a best time to provide reporting about how our 25 children doing in SANTI home.

  • I wish all of our 25 children to be successful in life as well as in education. They go to local public school and compete with other students. This is a better way to compare how our children are performing.
  • As mentioned in previous reports we have a few very successful and topper students from SANTI. We are proud of them and wish to have more students like that.
  • Few others were struggling in their school, so recently we hired an experienced teacher. He is great at providing homework to be completed by each student and then verifying their work. We hope this will help to train each child and evaluate ways to improve them.
  • Our wardens maintain a daily schedule that children follows. We are in the process to teach a disciplined life to our children. In the morning they do the homework from the Private teacher or school and the go to school. After school, they play and then in the evening get tutoring help.
  • On Children’s day SANTI students performed a group dance and a solo performance.

We are successful in operation due to your continued support. Please donate in this holiday period so that we can help better to these children.

Thanks
