Thank you, your donations and support through Globagiving enabled Water for Children Africa (WCA) to complete a rain harvesting water project at Muthwani Primary School in Kenya. A group of volunteers arrived in Kenya on July 24, and installed gutters and a 6000 litter water tank, a system that will provide clean water to 409 students at the school. The team brought with them School supplies and had an intern who remained in Kenya to install 2 latrines for girls and 2 for boys, each with a wash basin to address chronic sanitation issues. The intern is also installing a drip irrigation for a kitchen garden that will feed young children at the school. This will be a model school with WCA aiming at doing 100 schools as a pilot project in Kenya. WCA is very grateful for your donations.
On a separately funded project a group of 13 WCA volunteers went to Liberia in August and successfully drilled 2 wells in Monrovia which will provide clean water to over 17000 villagers. They also funded a third well 4 hrs outside Monrovia that serves another 4000 people. WCA has many unfunded water projects in different countries in rural Africa. Please continue to support us in the efforts of bringing clean water to rural Africa. WCA will do and name a project after you, your company, social club, group of friends... What do you think?
Thank you for your support.
WCA is impacting many children and saving lives through your support.
