This project is to construct water well for 4 communities to create a Sustainable Supply of Water and to Increase Availability, Accessibility, and Hygiene in these communities, East of Freetown, Sierra Leone.
These communities in Freetown and western rural comprises of many marginalized people who are petty traders in the Central Business District of the country. Like many other areas of the country, members of these communities also lack basic amenities like clean drinking water which is essential for a healthy life. These communities also suffer from unhealthy surroundings and have been affected by major disease outbreaks like cholera, malaria. Our initiative will affect more than 8,000 people.
KIF support children and communities, by constructing these water wells, we can assure sustainable clean water supply, reduce water borne diseases among the people, ensuring overall health and better life in the communities
The project will provide water supply for over 8,000 people in various communities, overall long term availability, accessibility, sanitation, and hygiene that can improve the lives of the people benifiting from the project.
