The Community San Antonio de Cortes is on it!

Operations & Maintenance is Key!
Operations & Maintenance is Key!

Back in 2009, the community of Nueva Grenada, San Antonio de Cortes, Honduras's water system was rehabilitated with the support of Water For People-Honduras. The water and sanitation committee were trained on all the aspects of Operation and Maintenance as well as how to set a tariff to promote the sustainability of the system. As a result, to date there has been 24-hour water service, 100% water coverage throughout the community, and 0% late payments. What does this mean? It means that since 2009 Everyone in the community has had access to safe drinking water. Now that is IMPACT that lasts Forever.
