WAF Awards 2016: Share Water, Air, Food Solutions

by Water Air Food Awards (WAFA)

The 4th WAF Awards Event celebrates our 2016 winners and their certified solutions that are proven to work, and can be scaled to solve global problems and secure clean water, air and food for everyone. It is about celebrating people who make a difference, and giving them visibility, so they can connect with sponsors, partners, decision makers - anyone who can support and scale their outstanding projects to secure water, food and clear air for people around the world.

Water, clean air and food should be undeniable human rights. The reality is drastically different: 21 people die of hunger every day; 783 million don't have access to clean water; 5,5 million die from polluted air every year.

Solutions to global problem are out there. Around the world, outstanding people develop projects that secure water, clean air and food for communities in need. Ending hunger, securing water for all, and ending pollution, can be achieved by replicating and scaling these projects. WAFA works to identify, certify and celebrate such sustainable projects in the yearly WAF Awards Ceremony, to give them visibility they need to achieve greater impact. These are the winner projects: wafaward.org/winners

Long-Term Impact

Sustainable water, air and food security projects gain global visibility, which attracts support and funding for continuing and expanding their work. Visibility of these local projects inspires replication: the solutions can be applied to solve similar problems in other parts of the world, meaning more people will have access to water, clean air and food.
