A Government study across India was conducted by National Skills Development Corporation, to identify the skill gaps across the states. In Tamil Nadu, there is a shortfall in the availability of skilled human resources which is expected to reach 3.6 lakh workers at the semi-skilled level and 2.25 lakhs at the skilled level by 2022.
