CDECC is developing a project to enhance the knowledge and practical skills needed to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS infections in women and children minorities living in Dien Bien Phu city.
100% of the ethnic minority women participants will have a comprehensive understanding of HIV/AIDS including its implications, prevention methods, and care for those infected. 100% of the high risk activity group members achieve an superior understanding of safe practices to prevent the spread of HIV infection and 80% of the participants change their behavior. 100% of the children infected with HIV and/or orphaned due to AIDS receive psychological and physiological care.
Ethnic minority women and high risk individuals (prostitutes and drug users) will participate in the HIV training, counseling and workshops and children impacted by HIV/AIDS will be provided psychological and physiological support.
An HIV/AIDS training program for minority women and high risk individuals will raise awareness of the disease throughout the community and improve child support from other organizations.
