This project seeks to join efforts in order to respond to the current humanitarian crisis in Goma and around Goma, DRC due to the influx of a new wage of IDPs from war affected areas in North Kivu. The UN estimates at each single day more than 200,000 new arrivals come to Goma which is the only considered safe zone in North Kivu. With the fighting in DRC thousands of people and North Kivu is highly affected, Goma is hosting millions of people but the town is also cut off from all roads for food.
There are currently more than 6million of Internally Displaced Persons in Goma and around Goma, North Kivu the Democratic Republic of Congo, they ran away from the war and each single day more than 200,000 people are coming to seek shelter in Goma. However Goma has is already over stretched and pressure is put on all available opportunities, the local host population is overwhelmed by the situation and have also been acted, especially that all roads that helps to supply food in Goma are cut off.
Just provide urgent aid relief to mostly new arrivals of people from war affected areas in North Kivu, the Democratic Republic of Congo
In terms of long-term we shall address the questions related to peace and stability in the area so that people can go back and also embark on activities aiming at recusing poverty.
