Celebrating Small Successes!

By Margaret Dean-Smith | Project Leader

Hello once again,

We have to thank you again for your support which has allowed us to continue with a rather restricted welfare work programme, but it looks as if COVID is on its way out, and life can slowly return to normal (if such a thing is possible).

We have restarted a little limited local ‘fund-raising’ ourselves now (where it's safe for our volunteers and staff), and are making strenuous efforts to find a suitable venue (school) to hold our first Spay/Neuter Clinic in two years!

Your contributions have helped us achieve some successes in the past few months, which have made us feel better under the circumstances.

A young kitten, brought into us in a very bad state, was treated and provided with proper sustenance to gain weight, then her damaged eye removed (which was done whilst she was being spayed).

According to her adoptive family, she is now healthier and much happier, and is able to hunt and play like a normal kitten.

We have also had several extremely bad cases of mange, possibly aggravated by the hot/humid weather over this rainy season.  All have been successfully treated and returned to their owners.

Your donations have also allowed us to keep our two shelters open during these difficult times, and to carry on with our normal welfare work (including a few extra neuters/spays for those in desperate situations).

We thank our lucky stars that we have a team of dedicated staff and a few committed volunteers who allow the much needed work to continue, and of course you – our supporters!

Your ongoing support means the world to us and the animals we serve!
