I wanted to share with you the progress of the Kenyan TB Photovoice project since I am sure you are excited to hear how things are shaping up since our training in September. Our partners at TB ACTION Group are truly making great efforts to implement the project. So far, the group facilitator Alice Opiyo has recruited 12 participants, each of whom have personal experiences with TB and HIV. They have chosen to conduct two groups, 6 participants in each, with a great mix of men and women, as well as age groups represented. TB ACTION Group is also working on building their Advisory Committee so that they can share their images and stories with a broad representation of their community. We are so impressed by their commitment and dedication to this project.
We are equally impressed with your commitment and dedication to TB Photovoice. Next week on October 19, you will have the opportunity to stay involved with TB Photovoice by supporting us through the GlobalGiving Bonus Day. GlobalGiving.org is matching at 30% all online donations up to $1,000 per donor per project! There is $100,000 available in matching funds starting at 12:01 am EDT. Simply go to TB Photovoice and GlobalGiving to help make a difference.
We truly could not have provided the TB ACTION Group the essential photovoice training without your support throughout the past year so we know you understand how important sustainable funding is to TB Photovoice. Thank you so much for your support and action.
Project Reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
