The project will rehabilitate 100 tribal girl survivors of trafficking and sexual exploitation by promoting self-actualization, capabilities for restoration of the well being of survivors through meaningful psycho, legal & economic reintegration. This will help the survivor to become an active part of the economic, cultural, civil and political life of a society. SRIJAN will provide economic reintegration opportunity and access to information besides addressing the stigma and discrimination
Every year more than 30000 tribal girls being trafficked from Jharkhand of which almost 70% girls are between 13 to 18 years. Roughly hundreds of girls being brought back to home through rescue operations conducted by government and other agencies. Due to improper rehabilitation mechanism from government side and high degree of stigma and discrimination attached at family and societal level which left no option to these girls and forced them to go back to the same exploitative situation
Life skill and vocational skill training will be provided by Srijan to 100 trafficking survivors for confidence building and skill building leading to economic independence & reintegration. Srijan will assist them psycho - legal support which will help them to come out of their traumatic experiences and access justice. Community and family will be sensitized around vulnerability and rights of the survivors so that creation of enabling environment towards dignified living will become evident
This project will give 100 tribal trafficking survivor girls an opportunity to live a life full of dignity and social acceptance. This rehabilitation process will make them economically and socially empowered and create a dignified platform to them to enjoy their rights and well-being at societal level. They will become the change maker who would continuously sensitize the community and parents to provide opportunities to the girls towards discrimination free society and empowerment.
