Operated by Carolina for Kibera, the Tabitha Medical Clinic situated in heart of the Kibera slums has serves the local residents with passion and dignity as it is mandated to deliver its services.
“In the past three months at Tabitha Clinic we have reached a total of 9,276 clients in the community and offered them the medical care they deserve,” said Clinic Manager Mark Muasa.
Mr. Muasa also added that the clinic recently handled a delivery case. Though deliveries are not a core business of the facility, they could not avoid helping when they realized that a patient seeking treatment was in a labor.
Mr. Muasa shared that if Tabitha Medical Clinic could run a maternity unit to serve women in labor who do not have financial means to go to local hospitals outside Kibera, “that could be a good move for us.” For now, the clinic continues its daily activities, serving hundreds of patients each month and responding to patient needs, even unpredictable ones.
