We are very worried because we have only raised 44% of the goal we set for the implementation of this project. We have made several efforts, we have taken advantage of the bonus day, disseminated the information through our communication channels to obtain more resources, however we have not raised any dollars in recent months and we must therefore rethink our project and our commitment to schools .

Our organization concluded the Diagnosis of Risk Factors and Violence in the School, Center 14 of Fe y Alegría (https://fundacionpaiz.org.gt/diagnostico-de-necesidades-de-atencion/). And with these inputs we begin to work some ideas. However, we were able to establish that it is very complicated to make an intervention with few resources given the identified needs.

Therefore, we will work on a collection strategy in the coming weeks, so we propose to temporarily suspend the project within its platform to resume it in March with a new collection strategy.

The Tralala Everybody Should Play Music project has been a challenge for our organization for different reasons: Completing the amount of funds necessary for its execution and, at the same time, adjusting the project itself while achieving the expected fundraising goal.

We want to have a project with the best results for young people, so we have collected information on the challenges and difficulties of the population of the Mezquital community (where the Fe y Alegría Institute is located) at the academic level and forecast violence, which is giving us more guidelines to know what kind of components to those already established we must make, thanks to this valuable information. This allows adjustments to the Tralala project presented initially, to make it more robust.

In this last quarter of 2019 we will work the protocol for measuring the impact of the Tralala project that will allow measuring before and after the intervention, this will give information to make the necessary adjustments to have better and better results in the medium and long term.

While this is happening we are doing a series of fundraising activities (bazaars, karaoke parties, garage sales, etc.) in addition to reach the goal, our next activity will be a Karaoke party, this September 12.

For all the above, we have decided that we will start Tralala in February 2020. That is why we are focusing our efforts in 2019 on technical, programmatic and fundraising actions, so that at the moment we have not made any expenses of the raised funds.

This whole process has been an excellent way of learning for our organization because it has allowed us to make a process of internal strengthening to be able to have very positive results when starting the project.

We are very grateful and happy for the trust you have placed in our organization, because we are committed to achieve the best results so that many young people have the opportunity to access musical education to strengthen their integral development.-
