Hey Guys!

These past weeks have been crazy for us, we are planning a closing event for this year "Education 4 Peace" project in the schools and it’s going great!

Let me tell you a little bit about this event. We have joined two other organizations to host an international seminar on "Education in conflict zones" and we have guests coming from all Latin America: Tom Miller - Head of Section, Teachers and Transversal Themes- from UNESCO; Brazilians working in the favelas through dance, sports and artistic performances; Mexican, Argentinean, and Chilean experts, all reunited for two days to share our experiences and keep on learning how to do our jobs so we can give our kids the best future possible.

But that’s not all, as closing event for this seminar; we are having a Fair! This Saturday we are having a PEACE CARNIVAL, children and young participants from the 3 schools are getting together and showing each other the results of their work, there is going to be dancing, singing, theater, graffiti and most important Peace being done.

And this brings us to some more great news: WE MADE THE NEWS! This past Sunday our project was profiled in the second most important newspaper in Colombia. They interviewed Victor -one of our participants- who is performing in the fair with his rap crew, and both Victor and the paper recognize our role in helping kids have a better future. Here is the link so you can read the article; unfortunately it is only in Spanish :(

We can’t wait its Saturday! And next week we will have you all the photos and comments of our big event, which it’s only possible thanks to all of your donations!

Hola Amigos!
