Challenge

- The lack of job availability in Nigeria forces individuals to take jobs wherever they can find it, whether they are qualified or not. This results in un-skilled teachers that are ill equipped to impart knowledge to students taking up teaching jobs especially in low-paid schools.

Solution

- The training of 200 unskilled teachers in the methodology of innovative education (especially science fields), formulation of lesson plans and lesson notes, improvised course delivery and class management will give them vital information and ability to effectively educate their students. With this training, the teachers generally will be empowered to effectively impart knowledge and science teachers specifically will help their students understand their place in the development of our nation.

Long-Term Impact

- This project will equip 200 unskilled teachers in low-paid schools with the ability to properly teach and educate their students, which will give the students a better chance to shape their own future.
