The situation in Lebanon is getting worse, and the circle of the bombing is reaching the whole areas of south Lebanon and some areas in Beirut and the likelihood of a total war that will expand to encompass all Lebanese territories increases daily. Leveraging the expertise of URDA's Rapid Response team in crisis management and humanitarian endeavors, we are dedicated to addressing the displacement crisis facing Lebanese citizens and refugees.
In the current climate of tension, numerous bordering villages in the south are witnessing a continuous exodus towards safer areas, particularly Tyre, Sidon, and Beirut. Thus, the people have been fleeing their homes, afraid of potential war and to be more precise the number of displaced civilians is 9,801 till now including 1,073 families. Also, more than half the 10,000 residents in Rmeish, another border town, have fled to Beirut or the Metn region, and even Beirut is now getting bombed!
The "Together for Lebanon" project is an emergency relief response that aims to help the families affected by the war by providing basic food, and supplies for displaced families by distributing ready-to-eat meals. Also, providing essential nonfood and shelter supplies such as sleeping materials to promote better sleep and overall well-being during the displacement period. In addition to psychosocial support for the traumatized families and children.
1. Ensuring the safety of vulnerable Individuals during displacement times. 2. Achieving social equity for vulnerable Lebanese families facing displaced in places other than their homes. 3. Providing comfort to the most vulnerable household environments. 4. Strengthening the resilience of vulnerable families against war events and effects.
