Challenge

More than half of the Lebanese people are living below the poverty line where Lebanon reports the highest levels of disparity in wealth distribution in the Arab region and the world. In Lebanon, signs of theft, looting, murder, and suicide, have been alarming since 2019. The country is witnessing an increase in the proportion of domestic violence and tension, in addition to a healthcare system collapse due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the current economic crisis.

Solution

The "Together for Lebanon" project is an emergency relief project that aims to help Lebanese families cope with the deteriorating economic, social, and psychological conditions they face on a daily basis and to alleviate the burdens placed on the Lebanese who are now waiting for help from local and international associations. It is dedicated to emergency relief including food parcels and financial support, and to medical relief including medical equipment and supplies.

Long-Term Impact

This project will save thousands of lives in Lebanon and provide citizens with food and healthcare support mainly during such a critical period of time.
