Women Without Borders Kenya is please to inform you its current activities. This year we had a lot of short comings due to climate change. Many families were affected by Hunger and hence many children lost their lives due to malnutrition. In Bungoma many people rely on sugar cane plantation as a source of income so when the payments delay and there is no food we face it.
I remember in the last report I mentioned that we partnered with Baptist church to support orphans which we are still working on. The number of orphans is increasing on daily basis and we are looking for solutions. However God is the Mighty King and He takes care of His creatures.
From the funds which we raised locally we managed to purchase 100 school uniforms to our O.V.Cs (orphans and other Vulnerable children). 35 children were in the institution and all were catered for with basic needs, food, clothing, medication, education and other basic needs. The remaining number of children are in Public schools and also provided for the necessary requirements.Staff we had 15 workers,10 mentors,2 social workers,1 Project coordinator, Accounts clerk and Director. The total amount of expenditures was:$15,000 Us Dollars.
We take this opportunity to thank all our friends who donated and those ones who prayed with us, to make this activity come to real. May God bless you mighty as we continue to support them for God will remember us always. Keep in touch for details.
