This project will change the dire state of malnutrition faced by some students studying at the Sigaram special school for children with disabilities and Early Intervention centre for Cerebral palsy children. This is done by cooking nutritious noon meal with essential ingredients at a subsidized cost to the deserving students, thus helping them develop their body and their mind and their immunity power so that they can live happily without a worry about their health or the food.
The disabled and cerebral palsy children belong to the poor family so they are not able to take nutritious food regularly because of their economic level. Often they are affected from many diseases lack of immunity power.
Nutritious meals will be provided at the schools at a heavily subsidized cost. Each noon meal is well-balanced and consists of proteins, carbohydrates, minerals and micronutrients. For many children, this is perhaps the only good meal that they have in the day. About 75% of the cost is subsidized by the school, which needs support from the donors. If fully funded, this project will provide noon meal for 64 students in the academic year 2018-19.
Nutritious, healthy noon meal will provide the students the ingredients required for the development of their body and the mind. Malnutrition is avoided, and hunger is addressed. Students will get immunity power and they will safe from many diseases. Thus helping them performing well and get good health.
