Springing Forward at New Community for Children!

By Reshena Johnson | Development/Operations Coordinator

Happy about homework time!
Happy about homework time!

Spring has finally arrived, and so have some very exciting new components to New Community for Children's programming! At NCFC, we believe in providing enrichment activites that expose our students to new things in hopes of supporting them on their journey to becoming well rounded adults.  A few weeks ago, NCFC began offering pottery to our students. Pottery is an excellent way to combine science, art and hands-on learning. Our kids are learning so many new things and are truly loving this new experience.

NCFC has also started offering Youth Liter(acy) to our ABLE students. Youth Liter(acy) is an awesome curriculum that teaches literacy through hip-hop music. This component is proving to be quite successful in improving student literacy as well as encouraging the creative minds of our students!

Many wonderful things are happening at NCFC, and none of it could happen without you.  We thank you for contribution which helps us do this important work! We love connecting with visitors and friends, and hope you'll come visit us soon to see your contribution in motion!

Happiness abounds at NCFC!
