Summer is here and in full effect at NCFC! Our six week summer program started this past Monday, June 30th, and there has not been a dull moment yet! Our program space is filled to the brim with students, staff and a really exciting exciting theme that will allow our students to truly become global citizens.
The theme of our 2014 Summer Program is Passport to Success. This summer, students will be immersed in programming designed to teach them about the world around them. Each week, students will spend time learning about differents part of the world. They will learn about cultures, foods and customs of those places.
We are staying true to our goal of combating summer learning loss by incorporating structured reading time and the Scholastic Summer Express workbook series into our daily activities. Not only will students retain what they learned last school year, they will be ready to tackle their new grade successfully when they return to school in the fall. Students will also do arts and crafts, zumba, yoga, gardening, karate, step dance, basketball, pottery and go on field trips!
WHEW! This is clearly an action packed summer for NCFC! This summer was made possible by your support and generocity. Thank you!
