We had a wonderful summer and are happy to have kids return to us for our 25th school year. Our children need to have learning extended beyond the classrooms to receive the academic and social enrichment that is needed for them to do well in school and prepare for the future.
We are providing academic enrichment in math, reading, and science related to horticulture to build intellectual ability in critical-thinking, research, and communication skills. Our elementary school students are learning the differences among flowering plants, herbs, vegetables. They are looking forward to tasting what we are growing this season. Our middle school students are using products from the garden to produce soaps and lotions which they will sell at neighborhood farmers markets.
We serve students from Kindergarten through 12th grade and support them to reach their full academic potential, prepare for college, and in turn give their time and talents back to their communities. We partner with parents, teachers, and the community to address the comprehensive education needs of our students and advocate for healthy families and challenging schools.
