Oregon Amateur Softball Association grants scholarships each year to student athletes that excel in both academics and athletics. Thunder Softball is proud to announce that this scholarship has been awarded to girls in our program in both 2011 and 2012. Both were standout athletes in high school, Jesse Moore at Sunset HIgh School in Beaverton Oregon is now playing college softball for Pacific University is the 2012 recipient. Kylie Crawford from West Linn High School is now attending University of San Diego on a softball scholarship was the recipient in 2011. The girls played for Oregon Thunder Gold and were coached by Nolan Meeuwsen who says, " Jessie and Kylie are great students and are among the nicest young ladies I ever had the joy of coaching." Thunder continues giving girls in our community the opportunity to play softball at a highly competitive level while also encouraging them to succeed in the classroom as demonstrated by Jesse and Kylie. We are very proud of all of our girls.
