REEA Foundation is inching its way forward to becoming self-sustainable with the recent opening of its new charity shop – Rambling Rose.  This is the brainchild of one of our dedicated volunteers, Daniella Alexander. The shop boasts an array of glass and crystal ware, ceramics, clothing, kitchenalia, décor, furniture, appliances and collector’s items.

Plans for the future include the creation of a reading nook, craft mornings together with coffee and cake as an extra touch for our customers. All proceeds from the shop are for the provision of quality care for our residents, suffering from severe epilepsy and other neurological disorders. It will also provide a place for some of our residents to work, assist and meet.

This charity shop will help us to narrow the funding gap so that REEA can secure the home for our residents well into the future. Some of our residents have also visited the charity shop. It is an exciting place, a place to meet and catch up with the latest news.

Sean Hancock, one of our residents says: ''The charity shop seems to be well done. I have been to other charity shops and often one needs to go through boxes and boxes to find stuff. At the REEA charity shop each item is well placed and cleaned before it will be put on a shelf. It is also a good outlet for our community members who would like to donate items to a charity. Some of the items are also passed on to other charity organisations or homes.''

Thank you for your support.
