Despite various efforts many people in Bangladesh, particularly individual, family and communities, especially poor/poorest section of the rural and urban areas are still not aware of magnitudes, early diagnosis, accurate stages, as well as access to quality medical, also psycho-social support.
Though, breast cancer is a leading of death among women globally, particularly, "LMICs". However, it is surprising that if detected early, breast cancer is most often curable. so, screening of the cancer is done symptom-free for women and men, apparently on healthy people with the main aim of diagnosing the disease early. Although, screening doesn't prevent breast cancer, it can help in the early diagnosis' along accurate stages, also proper treatment, as well as save thousands of lives!
With support from locally driven programs, girls are empowered to make positive changes not just in themselves, but in their families, friends and communities. In this way , supporting girls has an exponential impact for good-better-best!
