We are happy to report that the Sunflower Foundation along with Felix from the HerPad project have come together to extend our partnershp for another year.
We are aiming at raising at least $1,500 to provide supplies for 3 schools that have already been taught how to make reuseable pads. The supplies, like towles and sewing equipment, will make sure that the next cohort of girls will be taught the process and will be able to make their pads.
Also, the money will go to open the program in a new school in the Misungwi are of the Mwanza region in the Lake Zone district of Tanzania.
Between the 3 schools that we are already in and the new school we plan to add, roughtly 1,400 girls will have menstral health access that they did not have before.
This will also help them manage their period which in turn keeps them coming to school and not letting their grades drop.
