There are more children today who are enrolled in school today than ever before, yet, for many of them, schooling does not lead to learning according to Kenya 2011 uwezo survey. Even though Kenya government is working diligently to solve this, many children are still struggling with inadequate learning materials, overcrowded classes, fees and others come to school too hungry, sick or exhausted from work. This project will affect 200 students in Kisumu Kenya with a gift of education.

Resurge Children East Africa will bring hope to needy children by providing them with the valuable learning materials and school supplies they so desperately need and wouldn't be able to attend class without them. We will also provide lunch, service-learning for grade seven and eight as well as literacy classes for children who are struggling with reading in grade 3.

Long-Term Impact

The project will educate 200 students and reduce at risk of dropping out at the end of the primary cycle to facilitate their transition to secondary school and enable them complete basic education.
