Dear Supporters,
Both our 13 - 17 year old courses and the Under 13s course have recently been completed for 2011 and they were met with great success!
They were both located in the lovely Lake District in Northwest England for 5 days each. During the courses, the young people with spinal cord injuries had the chance to hike, sail, abseil, kayak, cycle, and play various wheelchair sports.
Here are some quotes:
- (From a mother of a spinal cord injured young person) "On behalf of my two children I want to thank you, they had an amazing time last week at the calvert trust. They are both shattered but haven't stopped talking about it since and are already looking forward to next year!"
- (From a 16 year old participant) "I can honestly say the course has changed my life for the better; it has given me a better quality of life knowing I can do so much more than I ever thought, I don't have to hide away anymore knowing that I can do the same as everyone else, just in a different way, and better of course haha. "
Thanks to everyone for continuing to support our incredible young persons project, please spread the word!
P.S. Photos to come!
