Ireland is in the middle of a housing and homelessness crisis with record numbers of men, women and children trapped in emergency accommodation and many more living in housing insecurity. The Simon Communities across Ireland provide support and services to thousands of people experiencing this stress and trauma. These funds will help us to continue providing these essential services to a growing number of people. Whatever the issue, Simon's door is always open, for as long as we are needed!
Over 9,000 men, women and children are trying to live their lives while trapped in emergency accommodation, and these figures are increasing every month. Thousands more are experiencing housing insecurity. The housing supply is simply not there for people to move on from emergency accommodation and homeless services. There is nowhere for them to go.
The Simon Communities have almost 50 years of experience providing support and services to thousands of people facing the trauma and stress of homelessness. With your support, we can continue to deliver tailored services to people who are rough sleeping, provide housing for people and families, and support people to move on to independent living through health and treatment services, tenancy sustainment and housing settlement services.
The Simon Communities in Ireland are regionally based in Cork, Dublin, Dundalk, Galway, the Midlands, the Mid West, the North West and the South East. With your help, the Simon Communities will continue working with hope and optimism, to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
