Getting Ready for Another Great Summer

Dear Take2 Supporter,


July 1st Take2 will embark on our 10th summer helping children with High Functioning Autism develop friendship making skills, and make lasting relationships. We have an incredible group of staff and campers ready to jump into a summer of social learning, and friendship building. When the campers step through door they will transform into friendship detectives. Through the course of the summer the detectives will investigate
what they have in common with each other, study the cues they give one another to describe what they are thinking and feeling (tone of voice, body language and the words we use), all the while uncovering the clues to the “secret of
friendship”. The payoff to their hard work and intensive investigations…lasting and meaningful relationships!

Take2 continues to expand and grow.  This year we partnered with Ivymount School and offered weekly social skills groups following the "Unstuck and On Target" Curriculum. 24 incredible students and their families participated in Saturday social learning groups and parent workshops. The response from the community has been overwhelming and we are excited to announce that we will be offering additional groups this coming fall.

Every year we rely on your generosity to help us offer need based financial scholarships to our families. These scholarships make it possible to provide, so many deserving campers and their families, access to our evidenced based curriculum, highly qualified staff support and parent support and training. From the Take2 families and staff…thank you for your support and continuing to make our vision a reality.
